GRADE 10

First Nations, Métis, and Inuit in Canada

  • A1.4 – select and organize relevant evidence and information on aspects of the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada from a variety of primary and secondary sources, including Indigenous knowledge sources, ensuring that their sources reflect different perspectives
  • A1.5 – assess the credibility of sources and information relevant to their investigations, while respecting Indigenous world views and ways of knowing

 

GRADE 11

World Views and Aspirations of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Communities in Canada (College, Workplace)

  • A2.2 – locate and select information relevant to their investigations from a variety of primary and/or secondary sources, including Indigenous knowledge sources
  • A3.1 – assess various aspects of information gathered from Indigenous and non-Indigenous knowledge sources, using general research criteria (e.g. accuracy, relevance, reliability, inherent values and bias, voice) and respecting Indigenous world views and ways of knowing

Contemporary First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Issues and Perspectives (University/College)

  • A1.3 – assess the credibility of sources relevant to their investigations, while respecting Indigenous world views and ways of knowing
  • A1.4 – interpret and analyse evidence, data, and information relevant to their investigations, using various tools, strategies, and approaches appropriate for political inquiry

 

GRADE 12

Contemporary Indigenous Issues and Perspectives in a Global Context (University/College)

  • A1.3 – assess the accuracy and credibility of sources relevant to their investigations, while respecting Indigenous world views and ways of knowing
  • A1.4 – interpret and analyse evidence, data, and information relevant to their investigations, using various tools, strategies, and approaches

  • A1.3 – assess the accuracy and credibility of sources relevant to their investigations, while respecting Indigenous world views and ways of knowing
